Transformers #3 is the first issue in the Daniel Warren Johnson run that I have picked up from my shop. The series sold well enough that I was unable to get #s 1 & 2 during my latest visit. Below you will find an index of symbols I will be using to document characters, events, and plot points. Happy reading, true believers!

šŸ‘„: A character's first appearance in the issue/series
šŸ“: A place
šŸ—‚ļø: An organization
šŸ†: An object
šŸŽŖ: An event
šŸŽ‚: 1st appearance in issue
šŸ‘‘: 1st appearance ever
šŸ”²#: The panel, as read in a left to right fashion

šŸ”²1 šŸ‘„ Starscream
šŸ”²1 šŸ‘„ Soundwave
šŸ”²1 šŸ† Energon - Energon is, of course, fuel for the Transformers and is frequently the stuff being fought over and which they fight to control.
šŸ”²2 šŸ‘„ Teletraan 1 - Teletraan 1 can be difficult to categorize, as it is a sentient computer, located in a place. I chose to introduce it as a character.
šŸ”²8 šŸ‘„ Skywarp šŸŽ‚

šŸ”²5 šŸ‘„ Danny šŸŽ‚

šŸ”²9 It doesn't matter, whose team they're on, or what glorious cause they fight for. When the shooting starts, people die.

šŸ”²6 Spike šŸŽ‚

šŸ¤Æ Great style. The art is well-adapted to the action.

I found this to be highly enjoyable. The action is entertaining, and there is real pathos in the classic Transformers vein, where man reconciles to its limits, but also its capabilities, in the face of a powerful alien race of machines. I will surely be reading subsequent issues and hope to acquire the first two.
